  • Welcome

As the Headteacher of Lyne and Longcross C of E (Aided) Primary School, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our school community. Situated in the idyllic village of Lyne, our school has a rich history dating back to 1895, and in 2015 we expanded to become a thriving one-form entry primary school.

At the heart of our school is a deep commitment to our Christian values of Faith, Courage, and Respect. Inspired by the inclusive and loving example of Jesus Christ, we strive to create a place of possibilities where each child is encouraged to develop a lasting love of learning and fulfil their God-given potential.

We believe that every child is unique and deserving of our care and attention. Our dedicated staff work tirelessly to nurture the individual talents and strengths of each pupil, helping them to grow in confidence and become active contributors to our vibrant school community.

Our modern and attractive school building, completed in 2015, provides a vibrant learning environment for our children. Surrounded by beautiful, spacious grounds, we are passionate about utilising the natural world to enhance our curriculum. Outdoor learning, including our dedicated Forest School site, is a key part of the Lyne and Longcross experience, allowing our pupils to connect with the wonders of nature and develop a deeper appreciation for the world around them.

At Lyne and Longcross, we pride ourselves on being a warm, welcoming, and inclusive school community. We celebrate the diversity of our pupils, embracing children of all faiths and backgrounds, and working closely with parents and the wider community to ensure the best possible outcomes for our children.

We consider it a true privilege to work with the children of Lyne and Longcross, and we never take this responsibility lightly. Our curriculum is designed to provide a rich and varied range of experiences, creating "Memorable Moments" that our pupils will cherish for years to come. We are committed to helping each child grow and thrive, both academically and personally, so that they can make a positive impact on the world around them.

I warmly invite you to visit our school and see for yourself the vibrant, nurturing environment that we have created at Lyne and Longcross. I am confident that you will be inspired by our exceptional facilities, our dedicated staff, and the boundless potential of our remarkable pupils.
